LONG SERVICE AWARD
Posted on: 14th June 2017
In 1992 Annie Fuzzens retired and decided to volunteer at the League's busy Butterflies Cafe and she's been there, through thick and thin, rain and shine, on Friday mornings since then. At 84 years young she has just completed 25 years of voluntary service, an incredible milestone recognised at a special presentation ceremony where she received a gift and certificate from League President Pat Roberts (L) and Vice Chairman Kathryn Westaway (R).Our busy Butterflies Cafe on level 2 at the hospital could not operate without the help of an army of wonderful volunteers and every penny of profit made at the cafe goes to supporting our charitable causes. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to join the volunteer team please contact us or find out more here.
If you would like to become a volunteer helping in our coffee shop or guiding service, please contact June or Pat, volunteer organisers at the League of Friends office on level 2 opposite main reception.
